watercolors

L'autre jour, pendant qu'on mangeait la galette, j'occupais Manon 3 ans, j'ai sortie mes crayons de couleurs et mes 'woody', de  gros crayons aquarellable ( le nr4 sur la photo). Sa maman illustratrice ne connaissait pas les woody ! J'ai été tres surprise car je pensais que les woody chez les artistes/ dessinateurs/ ceux ayant suivie des etudes d'art et de design c’était aussi connu que le beurre pour les patissiers!!

 Et bien non parfois on se fait des suppositions qui sont fausses ! 

Je me suis donc dis, pourquoi ne pas partager avec vous mes outils d'aquarelle favoris ?

•1/une palette bon marché de chez Flying Tiger, à sortir quand on joue avec les enfants •2 découverte plutôt recente ces gelatos sticks de chez Fabercastel •3/ ma palette du lycée, van gogh qui vient avec son pinceau retractable, le nr 5 sur la photo •4/ les fameux woody de Stabilo •5/ le pinceau de la palette van gogh •6/ un pinceau van gogh 2/130 fine hair •7/ ma dernière acquisition un pinceau avec reverse d'eau de chez Tim Holtz et j'en suis ravie ! je me suis mise a la typo et en une après midi d'essaie, j’arrivais déjà à quelque chose ! ( oui bien sur y'a encore du travail hein ! mais ce pinceau est super plaisant )

The other day while we ate the Twelth Night cake, I untertained  Manon, 3 years old. I took out my crayons and my 'woody', large watercolor pencils (the nr4 pictured). His illustrator mother did not know about the woody! I was very surprised because I thought the woody among artists / designers / those who followed art and design studies, were as known as  the butter for pastry !!

 Well no, sometimes we make assumptions that are false!

So I said to myself, why not share with you my favorite watercolor tools?

•1/ cheap palette at Flying Tyger, to get out when playing with children •2/ rather recent discovery these gelatos sticks in Fabercastel •3/ my palette of high school, Van Gogh that comes with its retractable brush, nr 5 on the picture •4/ famous Stabilo woody •5/ brush of Van Gogh range •6/ a van Gogh 2/130 fine hair brush •7/ my last purchase a brush with a water reservoir from Tim Holtz and I'm thrilled! I started handlettering and after an afternoon of practice, I got already something I was pleased about! (Yes of course there's still practice to be done eh! But this brush is great fun)
